Our friend brought a traditional Chinese gift
of rice for Congrats on the birth of Eli.
She said it is standard to give rice, well, for pretty well every occasion.

This Monday I dove back into second hand store shopping with my Every-Other-Monday-Shopper-Friend-Francis.

I surfaced with this. Do we need another thing, a pot thing no less? ... come on... you couldn't have walked by it either!








Our Puss-cat was intrigued by these little mouse booties.
They cost $1.00 at the same shop as the enamel ware.
